Judges needed for GSMST STEM Research Symposium

Judges needed for GSMST STEM Research Symposium
Updated

For the 2024-2025 school year, the GSMST STEM Research Program has close to 200 student researchers conducting advanced independent research projects for college credit. These students are now entering their findings into county, state, and international science fair competitions.

GSMST needs judges with background expertise in ALL AREAS of STEM to decide which projects should move on to the next level of competition and to provide research feedback to our students. Students have created posters of their work for display and have prepared a short verbal presentation summarizing their projects. To be eligible for the county science fair, each student must obtain independent evaluations of their project.

Our students are excited to present their ideas to the local community and receive feedback from experts. This event not only celebrates their achievements but will inspire them to continue to explore and innovate. Our research symposium encompasses 160 research projects spanning all areas of science, engineering, and computer science, and has close to 200 student participants.

The GSMST STEM Research Symposium is January 16, 2025, from 5:30 -7:30 pm, both in-person at GSMST and virtually.

If you are willing to serve as a judge, please fill out this form. If you know anyone who may be willing to judge, please feel free to forward this information to them.

Thank you for considering and for your support of our students. Please contact Dr. Courtney Cox at courtney.cox@gcpsk12.org with any questions.
